Terremoto: Stay Informed about Earthquakes in Italy
Terremoto is a free Android app developed by Nico Tranquilli that provides the latest earthquake data for the Italian peninsula. Powered by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), this app offers users push notification alerts for earthquake events.
One of the main features of Terremoto is the ability to receive push notifications on your phone as soon as the event data is available from an official source. Users can set alerts based on location and/or magnitude threshold, ensuring they stay informed about earthquakes that are relevant to them.
The app also includes a map that displays different sized and colored circles to represent event magnitude and age. This visual representation allows users to quickly understand the severity and recency of earthquakes in their area.
